Pippa Middleton
Philippa Charlotte “Pippa” Middleton (born 6 September 1983) is an English socialite. The younger sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, she appeared as the maid of honor at her sister Catherine’s wedding to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Middleton has also received much media attention for her fashion sense and personal relationships. Background
Pippa Middleton was born on 6 September 1983. She is
the second of three children born to Michael Middleton, who was a former
British Airways flight dispatcher, and Carole Middleton (born
Goldsmith), a former flight attendant. Her father’s family came from
Leeds, now in West Yorkshire, and her paternal
great-grandmother, Olive Lupton, belonged to a business family which had
been active in Leeds for many generations. The 2nd cousin of Olive
Middleton (born Lupton) was Lady Bullock (born Barbara Lupton), the wife
of Sir Christopher Bullock.
Carole Middleton’s mother’s family were labourers and miners from County Durham. In the mid 1980s, when her two eldest children were at a nursery school and the family was living at Bradfield Southend, Carole Middleton set up ‘Party Pieces’, a company which began by making party bags and went on to sell party supplies and decorations by mail order. By 1995 the firm, run by both parents, was so successful that it moved into a range of farm buildings at Ashampstead Common, and since then the Middleton parents are reported to have become millionaires. While at Bradfield Southend, Middleton and her sister were members of the local St Andrew’s Brownie pack.
In 1995, the family relocated to Bucklebury,
Berkshire. Like her sister, Middleton was first educated at St Andrew’s
School, Pangbourne and Downe House School, a girls’ day and boarding
school in Cold Ash. She attended Marlborough College on a
sports/all-rounder scholarship. Middleton then graduated from University
of Edinburgh with an English literature degree, where she shared a
house with Lord Edward Innes-Ker, a son of the Duke of Roxburghe, and
with Earl Percy, heir of the Duke of Northumberland.
Following graduation, in 2008 Middleton briefly
worked at a public relations firm promoting luxury products, then she
took on an events management job with Table Talk, a company based in
London which organizes corporate events and parties. Also in 2008, Tatler
magazine named Middleton “the Number 1 Society Singleton”, ahead of
singer-songwriter James Blunt and Princess Eugenie of York.” Since then,
she has often been described as a socialite. As part of a duo with her
older sister, Middleton has received wide press coverage, focusing on
her social life and her lifestyle. Time magazine listed Pippa In April 2012, as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Middleton currently works two days a week for her parents’ company Party Pieces, editing the web magazine Party Times.Penguin Books has paid Middleton a £400,000 advance for a book on party-planning which has the working title of Celebrate. Publication is expected in the autumn of 2012, and Middleton has said she is not using a ghost writer. The official announcement of her sister’s engagement came on 16 November 2010. Middleton served as the maid of honour. At the wedding, Middleton’s white figure-hugging dress, which, like the bride’s, was created by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, was highly praised in the media. Made of ivory crape fabric, it was styled with a cowl at the front and organza-covered buttons at the back. Copies of the dress were soon available in the high street where there was a great demand for them.
Pippa Middleton’s ancestors most probably include Sir Thomas Fairfax (1475–1520) and Sir Thomas Leighton (ca.
1530–1610), Governor of Guernsey from 1570 to 1609, and his wife
Elizabeth Knollys (1549–1605), who was a cousin of Queen Elizabeth I.
Her later ancestors include the Rev. Thomas Davis, a Church of England
hymn-writer, whose grand-daughter Olive Christiana Lupton was one of the
grandmothers of Michael Middleton. Her maternal great-great-grandfather
John Goldsmith was married to Esther Jones at St John’s Hoxton in 1850.

Kate Middleton's focus is on the royal heir -- er, hair!
Dating back to her April 29, 2011 wedding day, those looking to the duchess as tresspiration become immediately familiar with the Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa in the stylish London neighborhood of Chelsea.
Even now with a year as an official member of the royal family under her belt, Kate still heads to that same salon, where she has been a client for nearly a decade, multiple times a week for her shiny, volume-filled blowouts that start at $75.

But there's no royal treatment here. In fact, she "insists on visiting the salon rather than having them come to her," a source tells Us Weekly.
"Kate's a girlie girl," adds another source, which isn't far from the
truth based off of her love for a good pampering session. Back in
September, the 30-year-old sat in Richard Ward's salon for four hours getting her hair colored with an organic vegetable-based hair dye and of course, a sleek blowout to top things off.
"She loves her time there and she has known everyone there for years so it's really relaxing for her," an insider revealed to Us.

To create the princess-in-training's picture-perfect style, follow these instructions that Ward gave to Us last summer:
"Apply a holding serum onto wet hair to take out the frizz and make the hair silky smooth. Start with hair that's 80 percent wet and use a good blow dryer with a concentrator nozzle and a real-bristle brush. The serum memorizes the form and holds the curl in place while you blow dry."
